Endogenous Protein Production
Human serum protein production eliminates infectious disease as a risk factor in therapeutic protein products, including factor VIII, for hemophilia A, and factor IX, for hemophilia B. SCI is currently exploring the natural capacity of its proprietary C3A cell-line as a source of these proteins. Preliminary data suggest that the C3A cell platform is very suitable to stably produce endogenous serum proteins. Additional advantages of C3A-based protein production over current methods are:
